General Information

Does Sapling Nursery have any tie-ups with other pre-schools /primary schools?

Please note that Sapling Nursery™ does not have any tie-ups/affiliations with any other organization.

Sapling Nursery™ is an independently run pre-primary facility and daycare center conceptualized and started by Mrs. Kamla Idgunji (Principal) in 1994.

Sapling Nursery™ has no affiliations/partnerships/franchisee’s - our facilities in Baner and Model Colony are run and managed by the same Sapling team.

Sapling Nursery™ has no agents/middlemen. Beware of people who claim to be agents/middlemen. Sapling is a pre-primary facility that is deeply committed to equal opportunity for all children. We do not and never have accepted any donations for admissions.

How many locations are you located at? Do I get to choose which location my child will go to?

Sapling Nursery™ is one pre-primary facility - we are currently present at two locations, Ram-Indu Park (Baner) and Model Colony.

Sapling Dayhome, our Dayhome, is divided across two premises within Ram-Indu Park. While one of them shares our Sapling Nursery premises, our Dayhome for children under the age of 3 years, is located 300 mts away from the school, inside Ram-Indu Park.

All our facilities are run alike and are managed alike. We take immense care to make sure that the quality of education we provide, matches up to the high standards we set for ourselves.

Parents may apply to a location of their choice.

How long will I need to keep my child in sapling?

This depends on you. The earliest your child can join Sapling is in Playgroup, and the latest he/she can be with us is till UKG. Sapling Nursery™ does not have classes 1 to 10.

Our Dayhome admits children after completion of 1 year of age.

Which class should my child be in?

Children born between 1st October 2015 and 31st March 2016 are eligible for our Playgroup batch of June 2018.

Children born between 1st October 2014 and 30th September 2015 are eligible for our Nursery batch of June 2018.

Children born between 1st October 2013 and 30th September 2014 are eligible for our LKG batch of June 2018.

Children born between 1st October 2012 and 30th September 2013 are eligible for our UKG batch of June 2018

Once the admission is confirmed to a particular class at a particular centre, it cannot be changed. Parents who wish to admit their children to another class, batch or centre will need to re-apply. (Old applications will be marked as void).

Please note that parents are urged to look into changing government rules and regulations before choosing the right class for your child. Sapling Nursery does not take responsibility for your decision.

I am confused about the Early and Late Morning Nursery batches. Can you please elaborate?

We run two Nursery batches at our Ram-Indu Park centre.

The Late Morning Nursery batch will run from 11:45 am to 2:45 pm.

Parents may apply to a batch of their choice.

Children going to the Late Morning Nursery batch will only enjoy these timings for one year. They will revert to regular early morning timings starting June 2019 when they go to the LKG class.

I’d like to visit your centre personally. When can I visit?

You may take an appointment to visit any of our centres by emailing us at the following email IDs:

Ram-Indu Park:

Model Colony:

I know the Principal personally. How can I secure an appointment to meet with her regarding the admission of my/a child?

We are trying hard to ensure that each child gets an equal opportunity to apply and study at Sapling. Please do not embarrass us by asking us to deviate from our admission procedure. A question of this sort would imply a request to ignore our values i.e. the very core of our organization.
Mrs. Idgunji may be contacted via email at (Due to the large volume of emails received, please allow 3-5 working days for a reply)

My older son is an ex-student of Sapling. Does this mean that my younger son will get preference in admission?

At Sapling Nursery™, we give a preference to the admission of children who are siblings of children currently studying at Sapling. The reason for this is to make it easy on parents to arrange for drops, pick-ups and vacations. We do not give preference to siblings of children who have already passed out of Sapling because it does not meet our reasons for giving preference i.e. convenience to parents.
